• Develop and Implement Digital Risk Policies:
- Develop risk policies and frameworks for digital consumer and merchant lending, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Develops and implements strategies and controls to mitigate identified risks, ensuring they align with the organization's risk appetite and compliance requirements.
- Collaborating with manual underwriter team on creating and refining underwriting policies that outline the criteria for evaluating applications and making decisions.
- Working with Fraud team for developing and implementing to prevent fraud policies.
- Monitors and improves digital risk management to ensure that it remains effective and up-to-date.
• Advanced Analytics:
- Leverage data analytics to refine underwriting standards, risk segmentation, and approval policies.
- Analyzing data, interpreting results, and drawing conclusions.
• Reporting and Communication:
- Report to the CRO, providing insights on policy effectiveness, and innovative risk mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with product, business, and partnership teams to enhance risk frameworks and drive sustainable lending.
• Team Managent
- Providing leadership and guidance on risk-related matters.
- Play a leading role in coaching, mentoring and developing their teams take responsibility in talent management and succession for the business development teams.
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- At least 3 years’ experience in a senior management capacity in a similar role, and in a similar sized organization.
- Strong understanding of credit risk principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Experience in project management and/or leading change initiatives is also valuable.
- Risk Management Expertise: In-depth knowledge of risk assessment, mitigation, and control processes.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify risks, and develop effective solutions.
- Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership qualities to guide and motivate risk management teams, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey risk information to stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex risk-related issues.
- Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing business conditions and regulatory landscapes.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant software and tools for risk management, such as MS Office and risk management software.
